Quick start
- Set your default boat in the Charter module.
- Create your first charter and select the boat.
- Add itinerary days and ports (with GPS coordinates when available).
- Open the map from Show map to visualize routes.
- Export your data from the toolbar (PNG, PDF, GPX, CSV).

- PNG: professional layouts for charters.
- PDF: detailed itineraries with tables.
- GPX: routes for navigation devices.
- CSV: yearly tabular data for external analysis.
Data storage & backups
All data is stored locally on your Mac using Core Data (SQLite). For backups, use Time Machine or regularly export files. No data is sent to our servers. See the Privacy Policy for details.

Install & Updates
- Download from the Mac App Store.
- Updates are delivered via the Mac App Store (no in‑app updater).
- You can enable automatic app updates in System Settings and manually check the App Store’s Updates section.
- Ensure you run a compatible version of macOS (macOS 14 or later).
Exports (PNG, PDF, GPX, CSV)
- Files are generated locally and saved to the folder you choose.
- If export fails, verify file access permissions.
Location
- Grant location permission in System Settings ▸ Privacy & Security ▸ Location Services.
Troubleshooting
TCP/NMEA Connection
- Check host and port configured in the app settings.
- Ensure your Mac and equipment are on the same network and firewall allows the connection.
- Test connectivity (e.g.,
nc <host> <port>in Terminal).
Performance & Stability
- Close unused apps, relaunch ModulSea, and restart your Mac if needed.
- Ensure sufficient free disk space.
